As an ex employee of Biffa Waste Services (retired Project Engineer), D.L. Rhodes
& Sons has carried out work on numerous projects I was responsible for.
Over the many years I was involved in overseeing projects, both with Biffa and before
that with a large company designing and constructing waste treatment facilities,
I have never come across a more obliging, helpful building/construction company,
always there to help and advise. Headed by Nigel Rhodes the company has a
reliable workforce who works to a very high standard.
Work Undertaken:
Work carried out by D.L. Rhodes & Son has included:
- Ground works including drainage, services etc
- Foundation works for walls and buildings etc
- Building Construction, including full “fit out”.
- Erection of site fencing, palisade, chain link etc.
- Full turnkey works to requirements and specifications laid down.
Budget Control:
D.L. Rhodes & Son’s aim has always been to give the best possible job for the
most competitive price. Value of projects has varied from three up to six
figure sums. Prior to a contract award they were always willing to discuss
both savings (where possible) as well as cost increases which would provide a better
finished job and with a possible longer life. Any extras incurred during a
project were always discussed first.
Health & Safety:
D.L. Rhodes & Son has always worked strictly in accordance with HSE Regulations
and also within rules and regulations of the Client. They continually carried
out reviews and included all changes/updates accordingly. All necessary paperwork,
including such as training and equipment certification was always in place.
One could always rely on H&S regulations being met whether they were being monitored
on a specific project or not.
Overall:
D.L. Rhodes & Son are a company who are always willing to discuss a project
and get themselves involved, a very important factor in concluding a successful
project on time and on budget. They have a very experienced workforce and can be
relied upon to provide an excellent service from start to finish of a project.
